This is a family owned and operated hotel, and they were fantastic. We went in the off season, so my comments may not apply to the high season. They provided us a parking spot in front of the hotel, even though they clearly say they do not provide parking on their website. They gave us lots of tips and directions for the town. The rooms have 1 bedroom, an entry way with bunk beds, and a pull-out couch that was surprisingly comfortable… And a kitchenette. We had 3 adults, 2 teenagers and a 10 year old and were quite comfortable. The location is amazing… 1/2 block from the main pedestrian shopping area and a 5 minute walk to the beach. Only potential drawbacks (but we didn’t mind): you have to pay for towels extra (~50 Euro for a set of 6), the beds are not made up when you first arrive (so don’t arrive late and expect to crawl right in), and there is no oven in the kitchen… they have a stove top, microwave, mini-fridge and dishwasher (good dishes and pots and pans). This is our second time to St. Jean de Luz and we plan on going back to this hotel in the future!

Le personnel est très accueillant, l’appartement est très fonctionnel et parfaitement équipé pour un séjour en famille. L’hôtel est très facile à trouvé (le trinquet étant signalé sur la voie publique) et la plage et les commerces sont à moins de 5 mn à pied : parfait pour des vacances en famille avec de jeunes enfants

Accueil chaleureux. Emplacement idéal: Tout à pied en moins de 10′: plage, gare, rues commerçantes, place Louis xiv. Calme. Terrasse ensoleillée. Pièces spacieuses. En septembre, bon rapport qualité/prix. Je recommande et j’y retournerai.
Negative:
Le jour de l’arrivée, monter 2 étages avec les valises: ce n’est vraiment pas grand’chose. En plus, l’hotelier m’a proposé son aide.

This booking suited us perfectly; we were travelling with young children so the little kitchenette meant we could chill out in the apartment if eating out became too much. The apartment was clean and spacious. The staff are very friendly. The location is quiet but perfect for all our needs; we came by train and the station is less than 10 minutes walk away. The main shopping area is 2 minutes away and the beach about 5 or 10.
